We’ve made this list. We’ve checked … gawd-knows-how-many-times.

Here’s our annual “The 101: Buzz Bands LA’s Favorite Songs of the Year,” our attempt to wrap 2020 into one genre-spanning playlist of Los Angeles artists. Years ago when we started this madness, we named it after the 101 Freeway, which is the only thing more jam-packed than our year-end lists.

We present all six hours of this in countdown fashion, starting with song No. 101 and ending with Phoebe Bridgers. Yeah, it’s all pretty arbitrary, but we’ve tried to sequence it so that there’s some semblance of flow. Enjoy.
